Dwight Eugene Pennington

Dwight Eugene Pennington, age 63 of Calera, Alabama went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 23, 2018.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Geneva (Daily) Pennington.  He is survived by his wife, Connie Pennington; daughters, Kendra Pennington Smith-Nicholson (Chris) of Ellettsville, Indiana and Kristie Pennington Summers (Clint) of Dallas, Georgia; son, Joshua D. Pennington (Heather) of Foristell, Missouri; grandsons, Nathan Christensen, Dylan Pennington, Dalton Pennington; granddaughters, Sydney Summers, Callie Summers; and sisters-in-law, Mindy Corn (Steve) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Missy Bowman (Dan) of Gallipolis, Ohio.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m., both at Evangel Church PCA of Alabaster.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Lift Disability Network of Missouri, 553 Dietrich Road, Foristell, Missouri  63348 or https://liftdisability.net/missouri/.  Charter Funeral Home entrusted.

    My sincere condolences to the family. Dwight was a great man he and I shared several laughs at U.S. Steel together, we did the Toys for Tots gate collection the last few years and we always managed to laugh. He always spoke highly of his family when we talked about family life. Again sincere condolences.

    Lot’s of good memories of working with and around Dwight. So sorry to learn of his passing and condolences to all of his family. RIP Dwight.
