Dannise Buchans Ray

Dannise Buchans Ray, age 51, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018.  Dannise met the love of her life 35 years ago, her high school sweetheart, Michael Eugene Ray.  She graduated from the University of Montevallo with honors.  On December 29, 1990, Dannise was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She was resolved in her faith and was eagerly looking forward to paradise on Earth, as our Heavenly Father originally intended. Dannise was predeceased by her father, David Wesley Buchans.  She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Michael Ray; her mother, Barbara Ellene Thornton Blankenship (Ronny); her sisters, Cristi Cummings (Todd), Tanya Blake (Andy), and Kelli Denard (Mike); and a host of nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 839 16th St, Calera, AL 35040.  Dannise will be dearly missed.  www.charterfuneral.com

    My sincere condolences to the Ray family. Dannise and I were in the same congregation long ago. Every time I would see her she always had a huge smile on her face…even when she began being sick. Such a beautiful person that we will all miss, but we do look forward to seeing her again John 5:28,29.
