Nesie Tucker was a great friend and person inside and out. When you work with someone as long ( shared the same table) as she and I have. I cared for her as a sister, I loved her and respected her. She was a strong person and loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. Her whole family was her world and she would move mountains to help any of them. I’ve heard many stories of her growing up in a large family, of when Brandon, BJ, and Faith growing up, and we cries together when Mr Tucker passed. I learned many things from Nesie but I think the most important was to stop and enjoy what around you. I believe that her most enjoyable time was her morning coffee’s out side with Bobby just talking and watching her bird feeders. She loved spending time outside and loved her flowers. She put her heart and soul into everything she did. My prayers go out to the family. And if there’s anything I can do to help please just let me know. I will miss my friend and co-worker greatly.

I met Nesie shortly after moving to Calera in 1978. She had a great sense of humor and always saw the good in people and the positive side of life. She was one of the hardest working people I’ve ever known. When she moved we lost touch, but we found each other again when she worked in Calera Walmart’s bakery. In 2004 she decorated my older daughter’s graduation cake. Though the copier that transferred images was broken, she designed her dance team photo on the cake. I will never forget that. Nesie and I shared a common blessing- we had daughters born later in life. She was so thrilled to tell me about Faith. May you always remember her beautiful smile and sweet spirit.
