Bobby Weldon Lucas, age 79, of Alabaster, AL, lost his battle with Alzheimer’s on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Acker Lucas and Bertha Rosa Lucas; 5 sisters and one baby brother. Bobby leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Sarah Nell Lynch (George); the love of his life, a wife of 56 years, Jewel Voncille Lucas and two sons, Gregory Steven Lucas and Randall Lee Lucas (Monica). Bobby was retired from the Pullman-Standard Railcar Company in Bessemer, AL where he worked as a certified welder. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. Bobby also enjoyed Country Music and Southern Gospel Music. He played guitar and spent many hours playing at home. The family will receive friends at Charter Funeral Home between
10a.m. – 11a.m.,
Thursday, October 13, 2016 with the funeral immediately following. Burial will be at the Dargain Cemetery.
