Billy was born in Alabama, the son to the late, Frank and Geneva Denton Johnson. He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Sue Lawley.

Survivors of Billy include his loving wife, Debra; daughter Candi Essman (Ladd);  granddaughters, Kayla Osborne ( Zach),  Chelsey Young (Seth); great granddaughter, Brayleigh Jo Osborne; brothers, Butch Johnson (Annett), Charles Johnson (Janice), Frank Johnson, Jr.; sister, Ann Blankenship; sister-in-law, Brenda Clay (Dennis); brother-in-law, David Cash (Jennifer); Host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday April 19, 2018 at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in Cedar Grove. Ministers officiating are Jerry Taylor and Eddie Bolen.
