Marlene Lunceford Cross

Marlene Lunceford Cross age 69, of Montevallo, passed from this walk of life on Friday, October 10, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was one of eight children to the late parents of David Glenn and Helen Goodwin Lunceford. To all who knew momma we could tell stories of her good cooking, get togethers at her house, holidays, and the love that both her and daddy showed for opening their home to many over the years.

First and foremost, she was a Christian, a wife, momma, nanny, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Dewey Leon Cross; children, Christy Leigh Adams, Amy Renea Cross, and Kaylee Ann Cross; grandchildren, Traley Watson (Michael) and Skylar Dimenna; great-grandchildren, Brooks Oneil, Kashton Grey, and Bentleigh Kollyns Watson; last living sibling her sister, Jennifer Kay Reed; a host of nieces and nephews.

Marlene’s visitation will take place on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Charter Funeral Home in Calera. In Lieu of Flowers her family has requested donations be made in honor of her to the American Cancer Society.
